Three ways to sample
Single slate
One full-size piece of a named colour, shipped flat. Best when you already know the colour and need to confirm the weathering.
Colour kit
Six pieces, one of each colour we stock, boxed with a card naming each. The fastest way to run a colour selection with a client.
Batch sample
Pieces pulled at random from the specific pallet you are quoting, so what you approve is what ships.
What a sample can and cannot tell you
A sample shows colour, surface texture and thickness accurately. It cannot show the range across a pallet—reclaimed slate varies by design, and that variation is what makes the roof look right. If the range matters to the decision, ask for a batch sample and batch photos together.

Samples are charged at cost plus freight and credited against an order over $999.
Turnaround
Sample boxes usually leave the yard the next business day.
View them outside
Slate colour shifts considerably between interior light and daylight. Judge it outdoors, wet and dry.
